Many schools employ shadow teachers as a means to integrate students with special or learning needs successfully. We will assess your child's needs and develop an effective plan for working within their classroom setting as a team with their current teacher.
Our objectives are
- To empower the child to become increasingly more functional - emotionally, socially, behaviourally, and academically.
- Their role is not to do the work for the child, but to help the child become increasingly more autonomous in the classroom.
- Our ultimate goal is for a child not to need a shadow and to have a clear plan of when fading should occur.
